NGEAL is focussing on development of several renewable projects in state of Assam starting with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project to cater to the peak energy requirements of the state. JV Agreement was signed between OTPC & APDCL on 1^st June 2023 for development of Renewable Energy including BESS with total capacity of 250 MW / 500 MWH (in phased manner). 1st phase capacity deployment is aimed at 50 MW / 100-200 MWH and is to be set up at Mirza Substation of AEGCL.
